We offer a range of laboratory furnaces of various sizes, temperature ranges, controllers, and other feature options. Our selection of controlled atmosphere muffle furnaces enable heating in the atmosphere (i.e. gases and pressure) of your choosing.
What puts the "muffle" in a muffle furnace? When muffle furnaces were invented, most furnaces operated on combustion, and unlike most other types of furnaces, muffle furnaces would isolate the interior of the heating chamber from all fuels and products of combustion. That is not relevant now that laboratory furnaces are electric, however the name "muffle furnace" was maintained for all furnaces maintaining a similar design: a relatively small chamber capable of reaching extremely high temperatures.
